It's Your Ear + Your Gear
607 Audio was born from the desire to create highend, musical recording equipment to elevate sound recording, regardless of genre. After years using preamp/converter combos and mixing in the box, there was still something missing from my productions. After attending a Masterclass at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, I had put my finger on it. The missing link was analog equipment, especially at the tracking stage. It brought life and excitement to the captured sound in a way I had never before experienced.
From there, I started collecting analog equipment. However, I often found myself opening up these units and modifying them in some way to clean up a powersupply, or improve the fidelity of a signal path. In early 2019 I made the decision to make my own equipment and 607 Audio was born. It started out with guitar pedals and quickly evolved into 500 series EQs and Active Summing Amplifiers.
This is not a high production shop. I build in small batches, hand measure and select components and fully test everything before it's packaged and sent. For this reason, there is often a small wait for our equipment.
